A new start would actually be nice to have to be honest. New relationships, new histories, and new characters! Besides, two clans (plus the possible loners if they're accepted) would be MUCH easier to keep active.
But I do have one minor concern. I've been in RP's (not warrior) that involved only two groups. I left them because nothing interesting would happen. So something similar could happen to this 'new' RP idea.
I'm leaning more towards the 'yes' side as of right now because this new idea looks pretty cool! c:

I know this new idea would be a brand new fresh start on everything, including the Redemption Chapter. I like the idea, but if it weren't for the total scrap/replacement of the story. Its like jumping from book to book, one has started but is unfinished and one is beginning. Some would like to see that first book have a further lifespan. (I am a book worm at times and i would heavily like to see the ending of that story) Yes it is much easier to keep active, but there are cons to the two group thing. If the group leader goes inactive that means, everyone in that group will have to be kicked/leave and restarted with another group, with the hassle of getting everyone into that new group, it may or may not be a large number of members provided that there is scheduled recruiting. With more then 2 groups, each clan is responsible for their own activity and there is a lesser amount of members to keep track of. Each leader can kick/accept people according to roleplay sample/warning.
In one rp i was in, there were originally 3 clans and one rogue group, very much acted like a clan. Boulderclan, Hallowclan, and Lichenclan. And in that rp was having the same exact problem as this rp. Lichenclan was always active and rping/chilling while Hallowclan was struggling for activity and Boulder had little to medium activity. They devised a plot where all groups in the rp came together and formed Skyclan, the combination of Boulder, Hallow and Lichen. However, they kept the clans in thier own divisions, except all apprentices could chose which division they could join when becoming an apprentice in that newly formed clan. Saddly that idea and rp died a few months later.( I was a part of the 3 chapter long rp until it officially went down after 2 reboots)
(My Opinions and my experience with this sort of activity, still not being rude. Just saying what i think. Please tell me if im being a little rude or offending. I really dont want to upset anyone.)

there are pros and cons, some risks too. But one thing to fix the inactive leader thing and starting a new group, if anyone has an account they don't use, make it open and make a recruiter on it for leader, deputy, admins and mods. If the leader goes inactive, the deputy can step up and just take the role. There is alot of risk to starting a new rp. If there were 2 clans and a rogue group that would also want the territory the clans, but also fight with themselves (to make it interesting for them) it may be fine. If anything, if we do decide to keep this one, to help the recruiting problem, maybe the warriors and such can help. I'm sure they/we will know how and what to look for, and just tell the new members to send an invite. I'd be more then willing to help recruit for GC, I've sat at that portal recruiting for at least 7 hours before lol. But it's just an idea.

We do have a recruiter already. ^^ I actually have a few ideas about recruiting that I've been meaning to bring up with the other staff, but I'm gonna hold off until this poll is closed and the final results are in because it changes depending on the Clan amount. And it's great to hear both sides of the argument. I completely understand the hassle of starting a new rp. I almost feel bad for Astral if this goes through because we'll need a new map. c'x And site. ono In addition, I must add that the transitioning period may be both a pro and a con for activity. Pro side: - People may be more inclined to come online due to the "last moments" with their characters. Con side: - People may be more inclined to stay offline due to the "why does it matter if I'm replacing the character" mentality.
Regarding the "2 Clans means less excitement" point, I have to say that it can be both true and untrue in this case. I'd like to think that the staff team can come up with great plots together but the Clan's relationship will always be a love/hate/neutral thing. Repetative in that sense. You'd be fighting the same cats every battle. That's where the outside threats come in! Maybe the two Clans could band together to fend off a larger enemy at one point. I guess that this could be used in our current rp too, though. uvu New territory does indeed mean new threats.
Sorry for the rambling, I'm trying to give an equal amount of ups and downs but my head hurts and I'm at school so it's probable that nothing I say is coherant.

We actually devised a plan about the whole: "What if my leader goes inactive?"
Essentially, since we have a recruiter account now that nobody ever seems to use (at least as far as I know), Aspen and I decided to make a recruiter for each clan and make them the leaders of said groups. That way, let's say Aspen isn't online and GladeClan is having issues. I'd be able to pop on the recruiter character to talk with the clan in their group about whatever is going on. This also will make it easier on everyone so that when a leader dies. A new group won't need to be reformed.
As far as worrying about leader activity, this is the sole reason why Aspen and I are leaders first time round if the new RP idea goes through, which at this time, is more than likely going to happen. Just not right away. However, I really respect and appreciate everyone who has given feedback thus far because it really means a lot having people care about a RP like Redemption.
And as far as the whole "two clans get boring" topic, we've got that lot covered. Whether it be natural disasters, clan wars, or even potentially bringing in another clan when the time is right and the people we choose are ready for it. There's always new roleplays going up, and we need to focus on two clans before a third is brought in, which was our mistake in Inheritance/Redemption. Not to mention I plan on doing seasonal updates, so they'll be a lot more natural set backs for the clans in Yellowstone.
(We even considered allowing members to briefly audition to make characters of other animals for plots, but only plots)
However, I'd like to reiterate that the two clan RP wasn't brought on by the idea of CC and GC's activity problems. Aspen and I were having trouble finding active high ranks with suitable characters, and with 9 ranks that need to be active and filled, it gets stressful when someone leaves. With two, we'd each be in a clan with the final word on everything, and it'd be easier for our staff to moderate.

I'm actually very impressed with both you and Aspen, Astral. You've done such a good job trying to keep this RP afloat. Now that you've justified why the new RP won't be boring with just two clans, I'm really hoping it happens. And your right, having to keep 9 high ranks active could be a pain (I actually won't audition to be a high rank because I'm a busy girl in real life cx). We'll just have to see what others think...
